Apothic Red V20 750ML

The 2020 Apothic Red is our first daringly original blend of California-grown red grapes. Zinfandel leads the blend with silky layers of blackberry, black cherry with a hint of black pepper. Syrah and Merlot deliver undercurrents of ripe blueberry, boysenberry and a soft, plush mouthfeel. Cabernet Sauvignon adds more dimension with notes of black currant while bold tannins deliver a hint of intrigue. The finish is long and smooth with lingering notes of vanilla and mocha from the oak we selected for aging. Viticulture Notes: We selected the majority of the grapes for Apothic Red from the Lodi and Central Valley areas in California. We sourced the Zinfandel from Lodi, a premium producer of intensely concentrated, silky textured fruit. California’s 2020 vintage experienced a cool, mild growing season with an accelerated heat spell in August, resulting in early ripening. Vintage 2020 in California shows vibrant acidity and concentrated flavors. Winemaking Notes The grapes were de-stemmed before some whole-cluster fermentation. We fermented the 2020 Apothic Red in a combination of cone-sweep and upright tanks ranging from 4 to 6 days at a temperature averaging 85-88°F. Across all lots, we exercised meticulous temperature control and managed heat spikes through fermentation where needed to maximize the extraction of color and dark fruit notes.

Apothic Pinot Noir V20 750ML

Our 2020 Apothic Pinot Noir is a bold, yet lighter-bodied, red wine. Bright layers of crushed raspberry and ripe cherry meet aromas of Tahitian vanilla. The mouthfeel is round and opulent, leading to a detailed, lingering finish. Viticulture Notes: California’s 2020 vintage experienced a cool, mild growing season with an accelerated heat spell in August, resulting in early ripening. Vintage 2020 grapes show vibrant acidity and concentrated flavor. Winemaking Notes: We selected Pinot Noir grapes from Lodi for their red fruit profiles and soft, approachable tannins. Syrah was blended with the Pinot Noir to complement the dark cherry flavors with soft blueberry notes. To brighten the acidity and add notes of red currant, we blended unique Graciano grapes into the wine. The grapes were destemmed with marginal crushing and cold soaked overnight to encourage extraction of the fruit’s alluring color and tannins.

Apothic Inferno V21 750ML

Apothic Inferno is a Red Wine with a Whiskey Soul. Aging some of this Zinfandel-and-Merlot-led blend in whiskey barrels adds intriguing dimensions of maple and spice to Inferno’s dark, velvety-smooth layers of dried blackberries, black plum and cherry. Plush and rich on the mouth, well-integrated tannins add texture and structure while hints of toasty vanilla and cocoa linger on the long, warm finish.

Apothic White V20 750ML

Apothic White is a refreshingly crisp white wine made from grapes grown in California’s sundrenched vineyards with a small portion from Washington’s cooler terrain. Chardonnay leads the blend, imparting layers of apple and pear. Pinot Gris brightens the blend with hints of nectarine and white flower, while Riesling adds zests of Meyer lemon. Viognier tops the blend with notes of soft apricot. The mouthfeel is soft and round with a touch of toasted vanilla on the finish. Viticulture Notes: California’s 2020 vintage experienced a cool, mild growing season with an accelerated heat spell in August, resulting in early ripening. Vintage 2020 in California shows vibrant acidity and concentrated flavor. Washington experienced a moderate year, allowing the grapes to ripen on the vines longer, producing exceptional quality. Winemaking Notes: To retain the natural characteristics of each varietal, we fermented the blend at cool temperatures. The floral varietals were fermented 100% in stainless steel tanks to preserve delicate fruit aromas. Select lots of Chardonnay were fermented and aged on oak before undergoing malolactic fermentation to enhance fruit character and add toasted oak notes.

Apothic Crush V21 750ML

Soft, velvet-smooth and intensely flavorful, our 2021 Apothic Crush is a luscious red blend bursting with ripe fruit character. Invitingly aromatic with an intriguingly layered palate, notes of bright red cherry and crushed raspberry deliciously blend with deeper hints of caramel and milk chocolate. Soft tannins add an appealing touch of grip and texture before a long, lingering finish. A blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Grenache, this is a Crush that demands to be shared. Viticulture Notes We searched California for the perfect selection of flavorful varieties for Apothic Crush, finding Lodi and other bold regions in California’s Central Valley an ideal spot for the majority of our grapes. Lodi-grown grapes are known for their intensely concentrated flavor profile and indulgently silky texture. California’s 2021 growing season was cool and mild, with a heat spell in August that resulted in an earlier than average harvest. Wines from this vintage showcase vibrant acidity and concentrated flavors. Winemaking Notes We harvested a majority of the grapes for our Apothic Crush at night in cool temperatures to preserve the character of the fruit. The Pinot Noir was cold soaked for up to two days, then fermented between 80° to 85°F. The other varieties were fermented between 86° to 90° F. To create a silky mouthfeel and toasted caramel characteristics, we aged the blend on a mixture of French and American oak to add soft notes of vanilla, cocoa and caramel.

Orin Swift Machete 750ML 2018

Note: Label packaging may vary. A paradox can catch you off guard. A powerful punch and a delicate touch – this Petite Sirah-based blend manages to be both. And the labels? Iconic, but never the same. With fruit sourced from all over the state, Machete is a culmination of bird-dogging some of the best Petite Sirah, Grenache, and Syrah vineyards in California. Double-blind tasted to assure the highest quality fruit, making the cut isn’t easy. Tasting Notes: Pure inky garnet in the glass, the aromatics of plum compote, wild blackberries, crushed gravel, peanut brittle, and Tahitian vanilla emanate. Massive on the entry, the mid-palate is diverse with flavors of dark plums, black pepper, Amarena cherries, slow-roasted Moroccan lamb and a marbled leather texture. Rich, enveloping, and vivacious, the wine finishes with perpetuating energy and length—not to mention the satisfying tannins that rouse a desire for more.

Orin Swift Palermo 750ML 2019

Hot on the heels of a bountiful 2018 vintage, the 2019 growing season saw slightly lower yields. However, we were able to maintain the same flexibility and quality of the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from across the region. As our entry - level Napa Cab, Palermo checks all the boxes—classic aromatics, lush and rich body, and puckering tannins that will age in a short amount of time. Featuring sites from the valley floor to the mountain ridges, the wine is sourced from Stagecoach, Cypress, Sun Lake, Morisoli and Solari Vineyards, just to name a few. A brooding red core with a rich cardinal hued rim, the wine opens with classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics—ripe cassis, sunburst raspberry, graphite and chapparal surrounded by a balanced frame of new oak. The bold aromatics translate onto the palate seamlessly with more cassis, red licorice, fresh fennel and mixed berry compote. Integrated yet prominent puckering tannins finish off the wine with a touch of lingering black tea.

Orin Swift 8 Years in the Desert 750ML 2021

Being stranded in a desert leaves a lot to be desired — how to get back home, where to find food, water and shelter, and thoughts of survival. For eight years in the early 2010s, Orin Swift Cellars was barred from making any Zinfandel wines. From the grape that started everything OSC, the ‘desert’ gave us an opportunity to explore the diverse range of California’s grape varietals. But, as soon as those eight years were up, we had a plan in place to pay homage to our home. The 2021 Eight Years in the Desert marks the sixth iteration of our return to the world of Zinfandel. A deep maroon core with a ruby rim, the 2021 Eight Years in the Desert opens with aromas of wild blackberry, pepper, oatmeal raisin cookie, Sequoia forest floor, bay leaf and spices. The entry is broad and opulent with a mid-palate of brambly raspberry, black cherry, ripe blueberry and a hint of cacao. The wine has superb length through the finish with ripe tannins and a close of sweet oak.

Orin Swift Abstract 750ML 2021

One of many definitions of the word, abstract, is a summary of something larger, encompassing the crucial elements, making it easy to comprehend on the fly. Abstract, in its own way, is an abstract of our winemaking mission and ethos at Orin Swift. It will always have our signature approach, comprised of fruit from quality vineyards across California and creates conversations-be it about the wine or the label. For those new to Orin Swift, Abstract is a beloved starting point on a journey with us. WINEMAKER'S NOTES An opaque purple core with a glowing mauve rim, the 2021 Abstract brings forth opening aromas of muddled blue and blackberries with a frame of dark chocolate brownie and seasoned leather. The wine enters with class, being soft and lush, with notes of ripe plum, boysenberry and Santa Maria tri-tip. Grippy, chewy tannins, the wine closes with pleasing sarsaparilla and blackcurrant.

Orin Swift Mannequin 750ML 2020

Golden straw in the glass with a flash of emerald, the wine opens with notes of ripe Bosc pear, lemon meringue, and white flowers. On the palate, the entry is coating with yellow peach, honeydew, and wet stone along with a mid of palmiers, tostones and ripe stone fruit. The finish is accentuated by a seam of acidity and leaves one with hints of lemon pith and butterscotch.

Our 2021 Sauvignon Blanc offers an elegant, crisp and beautifully balanced expression of Marlborough, capturing the quintessential nuances, layers and textures of the celebrated region. Opening with aromas of fresh-picked citrus and honeysuckle blossoms, the crisp, clean palate brings fruity notes of green apple, juicy peach and ripe lemon, framed by hints of minerality. The finish is light and refreshing with a tantalizing hint of sweetness. Winemaking Notes: The grapes for La Marca Prosecco were selected with great care from small vineyards throughout the Prosecco DOC. After harvest, the grapes were crushed and then pressed in gentle membrane presses. The juice was allowed to cold settle before initial fermentation in upright stainless steel tanks at a maximum temperature of 65°F. The still wine was aged on its lees prior to secondary fermentation. Recommended Cuisine: La Marca Prosecco has the charm to stand alone as an aperitif, but it also has the body and the acidity to pair well with a range of foods, from seafood and mild cheeses to rich pasta dishes and decadent desserts.
