Jayson by Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Chardonnay V18 750ML

Our Jayson Napa Valley Chardonnay opens with notes of fresh-cut pears and orange blossom that permeate the aroma. In the glass, the wine evolves and deepens, adding bright, zesty hints of creamy lemon meringue and tangy lemon curd. On the inviting palate, the wine’s lively acidity is balanced with rich notes of pear, tangerine and baked apricot, wrapped up with a subtle kiss of caramel and vanilla on the playful finish.

Jayson by Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc V21 750ML

Our 2021 Jayson Sauvignon Blanc beams with freshness and breadth, delivering voluminous layers of bright fruit and floral notes that ride on lifting acidity. Opening notes of citrus blossom, lemongrass, and Kefir lime leaf lead to gooseberry, Key lime, and lemon meringue on the juicy, well-textured mid-palate. Refreshingly crisp, the finish echoes with peach and green apple. VINTAGE NOTES Our 2021 Jayson Sauvignon Blanc harvest kicked off one of our earliest Napa Valley vintages to date. Winter rains quenched the soil, allowing our vineyard team to establish a healthy, balanced canopy early in the growing season. Late spring through summer was temperate and dry with few temperature swings, allowing the fruit to develop steadily and consistently, maturing at an ideal pace. Low yields delivered small, flavorful clusters that displayed intense concentration, advanced flavor development, and wonderful structure. WINEMAKING NOTES We harvested our Sauvignon Blanc just as it expressed vivacious acidity. The fruit was whole cluster pressed, settled, and then racked to neutral oak for fermentation and aging. Towards the end of fermentation, we gently stirred the barrels several times per week to build the richness and texture that beautifully counterbalances the wine’s naturally high acidity. The wine aged on its lees in barrel until racked for blending and bottling.

Our dark, expressive Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas and notes of wild blackberries, anise and Italian Castelvetrano olive. Youthful upon release, the wine’s firm tannins will soften over time, whether in the cellar or while swirling in your decanter or glass. Patience rewards as a plush, juicy mid-palate is revealed, confidently leading to the lengthy finish that hints at blueberry jam and warm vanilla.

Our Red Wine offers bright, fresh-picked fruit notes, as notes of dark plum, raspberry and black currant weave playfully with hints of smooth caramel and butterscotch that linger on the finish. Velvety, expansive and deeply expressive, this is a Merlot-based blend at its fullest potential.

Diseño Malbec V20 750ML

Malbec has thrived in Argentina since the 1800s when cuttings were transplanted from their original home in France. Now considered amongst the world's most distinguished red wines, Malbec flourishes in Mendoza. Argentina's most highly respected vignerons supply Diseño Malbec from vineyards in Mendoza. Vines grow in fertile soil rich with old mineral deposits, irrigated by heavy winter snow melt from the Andes glaciers. Diseño Malbec is a rich wine with an inviting bouquet of stone fruit. A hint of coffee complements the blueberry, spice and chocolate notes.

Clos du Bois Buttery Chardonnay V19 750ML

Our 2019 Clos du Bois Buttery Chardonnay is a creamy, decadent white wine. Aromas of Fuji apple, honey and hints of lemon chiffon open in the glass. Layers of baked apple and pear are highlighted by undertones of warm barrel spice. The majority of the fruit for this Buttery Chardonnay was sourced from coastal-influenced vineyards in Monterey County, California. The 2019 growing season experienced a wet winter, followed by a cool spring and a mild summer. As a result, the fruit experienced longer hangtimes, gradually accumulating sugar, flavor concentration and optimal balance. Harvest 2019 produced average yields of excellent quality fruit. To preserve the stone fruit and tropical characteristics, we fermented the juice at cool temperatures in stainless steel vessels. From there, the juice underwent malolactic fermentation on specially selected oak to give the wine toasty, buttery aromas and a creamy mouthfeel.

The inaugural release of our vibrant and approachable California Cuvée Brut opens with a pop of tart pineapple and orange blossom on the wonderfully aromatic nose. Working with Zinfandel requires using the Goldilocks Principle: Pick it too early and you end up with a stemmy wine. Pick it too late and you risk a stuck fermentation. Pick it just right... well, what do you think? 2019 marks the third release of our eight-part passion play known as 8 Years in the Desert. As we meander through the coming years and remaining vintages, the wine, as well as the labels on the bottle, will continue to evolve. If we do our jobs right, the wine should only get better. The labels have a bit more of a pre-ordained nature — they’re all born from the original eight featured in the limited edition. Each vintage will revisit the original labels in sequential order. Some of you know them all, some of you only know label #1. Some will like what comes next, some will hate it. But suffice to say they are all cut from a similar cloth. As with the previous four vintages, our 2019 blend combines the heart and body of Zinfandel with the nuance and complexity of Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Grenache. Sourced from quality vineyards like Monte Rosso, Bismark, Korte, and Frei Ranch, 8 Years in the Desert uses only our favorite lots of each grape. Double-blind tasted and aged over a ten-month period, we are very proud of our 2019 vintage and hope you enjoy it now and for many years to come. Evolving aromatics present themselves first with black and white pepper, then a ripe fruit core of brambly raspberry and sweet persimmon, finishing with savory notes of allspice, clove and fig leaf. Boisterous yet elegant on entry, the wine shows its plush layers with distinctive strawberry preserves, blackberry and raspberry pie topped with fresh crème. Round, ripe tannins close the palate menacingly, leaving one with a desperate thirst for more.

Mount Peak Winery Rattlesnake Zinfandel V19 750ML

THE VINTAGE Rattlesnake Zinfandel is a tribute to the crest called Rattlesnake Hill, the highest point of the Monte Rosso Vineyard. It’s famous for the rattlesnakes living among the vines, seeking sunshine by day and coiling around the vines at night. Our deep, complex 2019 vintage opens with ripe notes of wild blackberry, black cherry, dark plum and crushed raspberry, layered with hints of baked fig, cinnamon toast, vanilla and dark chocolate spice cake. This full-bodied Zinfandel offers incredible depth, texture and structure, lifting the fruit notes through to the long, lingering finish. VITICULTURE NOTES This wine is crafted entirely from the historic Monte Rosso Vineyard, offering exceptional fruit with incredible concentration. The 2019 growing season was warm and evenly paced, offering ideal growing conditions. Winter rain led to a cool spring, which delayed budbreak. Late May delivered more rain but by June, warm, steady temperatures delivered consistent warmth that encouraged canopy growth and allowed the fruit to ripen gradually. Harvest 2019 produced low yields of small berries packed with rich, complex flavor characteristics. WINEMAKING NOTES We gave the grapes a two- to three-day cold soak to extract the desired foundation for color, flavor and structure. Fermentation took place in open-top tanks with up to 14 days of maceration time. All lots were aged separately until the blend was assembled and returned to barrel for flavors to integrate. Total barrel aging was 16 months in 100% French (30% new) oak, with the balance aging in neutral barrels.

The 2018 Alamos Selección Malbec, the pinnacle of their portfolio, showcases fruit from the Mendoza region. Bouquets of crushed dried violet and rich blackberry unfurl in the glass. On the palate, luscious notes of dark cherry and black plum meld with touches of black pepper and rich, subtle oak. A finely tuned structure and supple mouthfeel add depth and deliver a luscious finish. Tucked under the massive shoulders of the Andes Mountains in west central Argentina, the province of Mendoza is renowned as a winegrowing region. The high-altitude desert vineyards their roll upward into the foothills and toward the steep Andes’ peaks. Altitudes in Mendoza range from 3,000 to 5,000 feet, and that altitude means clear air and more sunlight for building flavors in the grapes. At night, cold air sweeps down from the mountains to give the grapes the structure and complexity to balance perfectly with the intense flavors.
