About the delle Venezie DOC: The three regions of Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto encompass the delle Venezie DOC in northeastern Italy. This high altitude region is ideally suited to producing crisp, elegant Pinot Grigio grapes. Viticulture Notes: The 2021 vintage has been an excellent vintage for the DOC delle Venezie Pinot Grigio. The spring period was characterized by brisk temperatures and light rains that carried the vineyards to an ideal vegetative development, followed by a warm summer characterised by intense day-night temperature variations that allowed the fruits to fully ripen while maintaining remarkable acidity levels, leading to a harvest of exceptional quality. The 2021 Ecco Domani displays an excellent freshness and crispiness, nicely balanced by a rich and concentrated flavors profile. Winemaking Notes: Following harvest in September, the grapes for this wine were gently crushed and pressed. The juice was allowed to cold settle prior to fermentation, which occurred in upright stainless steel tanks for three weeks at an average temperature of 64°F. The wine was aged on light lees until bottling to preserve its freshness and its clean, full mouthfeel.

Viticulture Notes: Grapes for our Pinot Grigio are sourced from select vineyards throughout California. The 2021 vintage experienced ongoing dry conditions in the state. A mild summer increased hangtime, which allowed the grapes to develop more flavor concentration. Harvest 2021 produced slightly lower yields of excellent quality fruit. Winemaking Notes: The grapes for our 2021 Pinot Grigio were harvested at peak ripeness, then fermented at low to moderate temperatures between 55⁰-62⁰ F. Our winemaker carefully selected aromatic yeast to enhance aromas and create an expressive mouthfeel. After fermentation, all lots were aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling to preserve brightness and balance.

Rattlesnake Zinfandel is a tribute to the crest called Rattlesnake Hill, the highest point of the Monte Rosso Vineyard. It’s famous for the rattlesnakes living among the vines, seeking sunshine by day and coiling around the vines at night. Our deep, complex 2019 vintage opens with ripe notes of wild blackberry, black cherry, dark plum and crushed raspberry, layered with hints of baked fig, cinnamon toast, vanilla and dark chocolate spice cake. This full-bodied Zinfandel offers incredible depth, texture and structure, lifting the fruit notes through to the long, lingering finish. VITICULTURE NOTES This wine is crafted entirely from the historic Monte Rosso Vineyard, offering exceptional fruit with incredible concentration. The 2019 growing season was warm and evenly paced, offering ideal growing conditions. Winter rain led to a cool spring, which delayed budbreak. Late May delivered more rain but by June, warm, steady temperatures delivered consistent warmth that encouraged canopy growth and allowed the fruit to ripen gradually. Harvest 2019 produced low yields of small berries packed with rich, complex flavor characteristics. WINEMAKING NOTES We gave the grapes a two- to three-day cold soak to extract the desired foundation for color, flavor and structure. Fermentation took place in open-top tanks with up to 14 days of maceration time. All lots were aged separately until the blend was assembled and returned to barrel for flavors to integrate. Total barrel aging was 16 months in 100% French (30% new) oak, with the balance aging in neutral barrels.

Smooth, balanced and approachable, J Multi-Appellation Pinot Noir offers a polished, fruit-driven take on this classic variety. Generous notes of red and black cherry, ripe berries, pomegranate and plum are nicely layered with hints of cocoa dust, earth and toast. Plush, flavorful and food-friendly, pair this with roasted beet-goat cheese salad, barbequed pork ribs, cheeseburgers or rich mushroom dishes. VITICULTURE NOTES We looked to Monterey, Sonoma and Santa Barbara Counties to deliver this plush and distinctive Pinot Noir, relying on a collection of estate vineyards for the majority of our fruit. Overall, vintage 2021 was exceptional in California. A temperate and dry year with few temperature swings, the season was smooth, consistent and evenly paced. Dry conditions in winter and spring led vineyard managers to establish a healthy, balanced canopy early in the growing season with thoughtful water management throughout. At harvest, grapes showed beautiful concentration, advanced flavor development and ideal structure at lower-than-usual Brix levels, delivering wonderfully mature fruit into the cellar earlier than an average season. Overall, an outstanding vintage. WINEMAKING NOTES We harvested whole grape clusters before de-stemming and delivering to stainless steel fermentation tanks. Following a five-day cold soak, the must fermented for another five to eight days, receiving regular punch-downs tailored to each lot. Once dry, the wine was drained to tank and barrel to undergo malolactic fermentation before aging on a combination of French and American oak. Blending took place in the summer with a special focus on maximizing the unique stylistic contributions of lots from each county.

Brancaia TRE Red Blend V20 750ML

TRE stands for its three grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as for its three Tuscan vineyards (Maremma, Castellina and Radda in Chianti). The assemblage is dominated by Sangiovese with 70 percent, but Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon also bring their charm with 15% each. This well-structured, medium-bodied wine is aged for twelve months before it is bottled. Two thirds of the expansion takes place in French tonneaux and one in cement. This elegant, well-structured cuvée offers plenty of drinking pleasure now or later and goes well with every kitchen. “There is no better entry-level wine than this,” says Monica Larner (for Robert Parker) with reference to the TRE 2014. And James Suckling states: “Really delicious, really juicy, with wonderful aromas of red fruits.” Ideal with: pasta and rice dishes, light roasted or sautéed meat, poultry, fried or grilled fish. Our favorite: with Vitello Tonnato with fresh capers.
