Our 2021 Jayson Chardonnay offers a captivating interplay of richness and finesse, with a soulful complexity revealing itself with each sip. The nose is greeted with aromas of orange blossom and honeysuckle, lemon oil, and crushed Marcona almond. Notes of preserved Meyer lemon introduce the bright, finely detailed palate, the integrated oak profile lending a complementing mid-palate richness. Interwoven notes of butterscotch, marzipan, and grilled pineapple slowly emerge and sustain through a long, layered finish.

Our 2022 Jayson Sauvignon Blanc has fresh flavors and lively acidity counterpoised with a deep, textural richness. Vibrant aromas of orange blossom, Kefir lime leaf, and ripe guava leap from the glass. The palate opens with a focused surge of Key lime, guava, and a hint of river rock minerality. Bright, concentrated citrus and tropical fruit flavors glide through the supple, layered mid-palate, continuing laser sharp through the crisp finish, an echo of citrus meringue ringing on. <br><br> My intention with Jayson Sauvignon Blanc is to make a wine that is incredibly bright and energetic with a beautiful purity of fruit bolstered by a broad, textural midpalate. In the vineyard, I manage the canopy to encourage early ripening with acidity retention. I’m blending acid-driven valley floor fruit with intense, ripe fruit from our mountain vineyards that’s given longer hang time to fully evolve, a range of ripeness bringing nuance and detail. Lees are stirred just enough to impart a balancing richness while retaining freshness. The finished wine is a complete package of energy and crispness, complexity and depth.

The depth and complexity of this wine are immediately apparent with a rush of crushed black cherry, fraises des bois, and wild mushroom on the nose. The palate opens, layer upon plush layer, with raspberry, strawberry, and lingonberry, all held beautifully in focus by integrated polished tannins. <br><br> Jayson Red Wine is a distinctive blend from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards, crafted to express each vintage with intensity and richness. With vintage 2020, fruit was sourced primarily from Atlas Peak, supported by fruit grown in the renowned Stagecoach Vineyard and other exceptional Napa Valley sites. Grapes were hand-picked and hand-sorted before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks to enhance its fruit profile and retain bright acidity. The wine was then racked to 65% new French oak barrels for 15 months of aging.

Our 2020 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir opens with vibrant notes of red summer fruits and a captivating perfume of rose petal and violet. The intricate palate displays a beautiful purity of fruit—macerated raspberry, wild blackberry, and ripe plum—framed by silky tannins and finishing long with lifted notes of sweet oak and spice. <br><br> <b>VINTAGE NOTES</b><br> The season began with a mild, arid winter and early bud break. A cool spring slowed vine development and the long season eased into a steady, temperate summer. Cool mornings and warm, sunny days allowed the fruit to mature gradually and steadily, achieving great complexity, focus, and structure. Dry conditions led to lower yields and small, concentrated berries. <br><br> <b>WINEMAKING NOTES</b><br> We hand-harvested our Sonoma Coast blocks at optimal ripeness, identifying two standout lots, a blend of 60% Calera and 40% Swan clones, to create this expressive wine. We fermented in small open-top tanks, a portion of the fruit kept as whole clusters to impart additional depth and structure. After a five-day cold soak, the tanks returned to ambient temperature, coaxing spontaneous native yeast fermentation. Gentle pressing preserved nuanced aromatics and retained supple tannins. The free-run was transferred to 60% new French Oak aged nine months before racking for bottling.
