The flavors are bold and more intense than the average Pinot Noir, with characteristics of summer blackberry, pomegranate and dried rose petals. On the palate, nuances of blackberry, ripe plum, black currant and vanilla bean add complexity to this rich, exceptionally smooth Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 2019 Ghost Pines Red Blend is a smooth, deeply complex wine from some of the most acclaimed growing regions in California. Rich hues of ruby show in the glass, leading to aromas of boysenberry, Bing cherry and grilled plum. The rich fruit notes translate to the mouthfeel with notes of raspberry ganache, and underlying layers of spice and toasted oak. Chewy tannins carry through to a long, gratifying finish.

Ghost Pines Zinfandel is a richly structured, full-bodied California red wine. Aromas of freshly crushed raspberries, toasted oak and cracked pepper rise from the glass. Luscious tannins meld with notes of blackberry preserve and cola punctuated with dashes of spice. The finish is long and supple, delivering intensity straight through to the end.

Ghost Pines Merlot is a smoothly textured red wine that’s highly approachable and easy to pair with food. Layers of black cherry, cocoa and a bit of sage lift from the glass. A smooth mid-palate reveals ripe notes of wild blackberry and Mission plum with hints of toasted mocha and clove. The tannins are plush and mouth-filling with a long, structured finish. Each lot of our Ghost Pines Merlot was fermented under a unique set of conditions designed to showcase the fruit’s outstanding quality. Some lots were cold soaked to amplify their fresh fruit flavors, while others were fermented at higher temperatures to encourage depth of structure and denser, more intense flavor characteristics in the finished wine. To ensure balance, lots with ripe seeds and soft skin tannins were macerated for an extra week post-fermentation for added breadth and mouthfeel. In all, our Merlot saw up to 18 months’ aging in French Oak, which contributed additional layers of aroma and flavor, including notes of sweet caramel and vanilla.
