Valpolicella has bright ruby red color with classic qualities of Corvina, the historic grape variety of the appellation. The fragrant nose has prominent aromas of red fruit, fresh-cracked pepper and aromatic herbs, typical of Corvina. Medium-bodied, this smooth red has notes of raspberry, cherry and dark berry. Impressively buoyant and playful on the palate, this wine will express greater delicacy and finesse as it ages over the next several years.

Poggio al Tesoro is Marilisa Allegrini’s property in Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast. It’s here that she works with international varietals in the Super Tuscan tradition. 'Mediterra' is a Syrah based blend made just outside of the Bolgheri DOC and is Poggio al Tesoro's most accessible and versatile wine. Wet conditions in the spring were mitigated by a sunny and breezy summer, but still necessitated significant thinning in order to foster airflow. Grapes at harvest were of high quality.

This 100% Vermentino is characterized by a prolonged ripening of the grapes, preserved in their aromatic profile by the fascinating practice of the night harvest. The clone from which it is made yields a wine which is fruity when young and develops mineral notes upon ageing, yet retains distinctive intensity and concentration.
