ABOUT THE WINE:
Our 2019 Bridlewood Santa Ynez Estate Zinfandel is a dry, medium-full red wine that puts a fresh twist on a California-grown Zin. Showing deep dark garnet in the glass, our Zinfandel opens with aromas of dried fig, spice, vanilla and blackberry. The aromatics stay true on the palate, revealing notes of dried strawberry, cranberry, clove and crushed gingerbread cookies. A pop of pomegranate notes melds with molasses for a balance of bright acidity with a rich finish. This Zinfandel is a perfect match with wild game, Mediterranean-spiced lamb, salad dotted with dried fruit and creamy chevre.

VITICULTURE NOTES:
Our Zinfandel grapes were hand harvested in the early morning to keep the fruit in pristine shape. For this vintage, we selected fruit from Block 6 Zinfandel and a small portion of Petite Sirah from Block 3 and 11 on the Estate to dial up the fruit concentration.

WINEMAKING NOTES:
The grapes were cold soaked for 3 days prior to fermentation in open top fermenters. Following fermentation and gentle pressing, we chose to age this wine in a mix of French and American oak barrels for 6 months. French barrels add finesse and an elegant tannin structure while American brings the classic qualities of a California Zinfandel. Both add mesmerizing layers.

About the Wine
Estancia 2019 Chardonnay is a silky, well-balanced white wine from Monterey County, California. The mouthfeel is rich with hints of oak-spice on the back palate and a long, smooth finish.

Winemaking Notes
The grapes for the 2019 vintage were harvested in the cool misty morning hours in the Central Coast, where warm sunny days and cool foggy evenings create ideal conditions for Chardonnay. They were immediately destemmed and gently pressed to preserve the fresh fruit flavor characteristics. All of the lots went through primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Select lots were racked into a combination of French and American oak barrels to age and undergo malolactic fermentation. The blend of both aging methods creates a smooth Chardonnay that retains its natural acidity.
