Franciscan was founded in 1973 by two Napa Valley pioneers, Justin Meyer and Raymond Duncan. The winemaking pair began with an inaugural vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1975 and were dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what could make an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon.
To this day, Cabernet remains the backbone of Franciscan. We also offer Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and the Magnificat Meritage. We chase a perfection that every glass of Franciscan deserves, and we will continue to do so in each batch and bottle to come.
