Our Columbia Winery 2021 Tempranillo is a bold, intriguing red wine. Aromas of raspberry and cherry mingle with hints of dried fig, crushed pink pepper and shredded clove. Decadent layers of plum and thimbleberry with dusts of cocoa and orange zest fill the soft palate. Textured tannins lead to a long finish with a touch of vibrant sour cherry.

Our 2020 Reserve Syrah is a dry, full-bodied red wine with rustic tones of dark fruit and savory spice. Aromas of dark plum and earthy notes of toasted wood and leather rise from the glass with hints of cracked pepper and anise. Rich notes of blackcurrant balance on the palate with chewy tannins while aromas of crushed violet, black tea and espresso garnish the finish.

Our 2021 Central Coast Pinot Noir is a medium-bodied, fruit-forward wine grown with a coastal influence. Bright fruit aromatics greet the nose with hints of black tea leaf and leather. The mouthfeel fills with notes of ripe raspberry and tart pomegranate. On the finish, the fruit notes are underscored with accents of pepper and toasted caramel.

Our appealing Apothic Chardonnay opens with generous notes of crisp red and green apple, layered with hints of honey, caramel and vanilla. Viognier in the blend adds intriguing aromatic floral and tropical fruit characteristics. This luscious wine offers a silky-smooth texture and a bright, lively finish. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes:</b><br> We selected the majority of the grapes for Apothic Chardonnay from the unique Lodi Delta region in California. With its cool evenings and warm days, Lodi is known as a producer of fragrant, concentrated and silky textured fruit. California’s 2022 growing season was cool and mild, with a heat spell in August that resulted in an earlier than average harvest. Wines showcase vibrant acidity and concentrated flavors.  <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes:</b><br> We harvested a majority of the grapes for our Apothic Chardonnay at night in cool temperatures to preserve the character of the fruit. The fruit was whole-cluster pressed, then the juice settled and was racked to tank to optimize clarity and mouthfeel. The Chardonnay underwent partial malolactic fermentation and was fermented on selected oak with sur lie aging, enhancing the wine’s delicate fruit flavors while adding subtle caramel, cream and spice characteristics. A portion of the Chardonnay and Viognier were fermented in stainless-steel tanks.

When we decided not to make Mercury Head in 2020, the anticipation for the next release was palpable. In the cellar, we were giddy, ready to assemble a blend worthy of the famed dimes. The 2021 vintage was fortuitous in both yield and quality, giving us a lot of components to make trial blends with. We’re very excited to bring back Mercury Head as 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from both the Stagecoach and Warnock Vineyards on Atlas Peak, the Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford and the Taplin Vineyard in St. Helena. <br><br> <b>WINEMAKER’S NOTES</b><br> An almost-black, opaque garnet core sit s in the glass with slow-moving tears falling down the sides. Immediate aromatic notes of ripe cassis, charred ribeye, sandalwood and freshly cut oak pilfer—breathe deeper for more. The first sip is a complex, layered conundrum of blackberry, black plum, fennel, licorice and dark chocolate. More sips peel back the layers to reveal a rich and balanced wine with a deep cassis core. A sweet linger on the finish closes the wine with softly textured chalky tannins.

Our bright and inviting 2022 La Marca Prosecco Rosé blends our classic Prosecco with refined, flavorful Pinot Noir. Delicate aromas of wild strawberry, fresh-picked citrus and honeysuckle rise from the glass, as the palate bubbles with notes of white peach, ripe raspberry and juicy pear. Crisp and refreshing with a flourish of ripe red cherry on the memorable finish. Our La Marca Prosecco Rosé is an ideal choice to add pop of bubbly to picnic brunch, raise an elegant toast or add a splash of sparkling color to soirées big and small. Serve chilled. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> Delicate and aromatic, La Marca Prosecco Rosé D.O.C. is made from some of the highest-quality Glera and Pinot Noir grapes grown by the cooperative. With vineyards throughout Treviso’s coveted hillside vineyards along the Piave River, the region’s moderate climate and well-drained clay and chalk soils yield exceptional grapes. This unique climate produces fresh, vibrant yields that offer high acidity and elegant fruit flavors. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> La Marca Prosecco Rosé is created using the traditional grape used in Prosecco, Glera, blended with just the right amount of Pinot Noir. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they undergo strict, time-honored winemaking practices. After the Glera was harvested, the grapes were crushed and then immediately pressed in gentle membrane presses. The juice was allowed to cold settle before initial fermentation in upright stainless-steel tanks. The Pinot Noir is fermented on skins, then gently pressed. At the end of their individual fermentations, the Glera and Pinot Noir assemblage is crafted for our La Marca Prosecco Rosé base. An extended secondary fermentation of at least 60 days adds structure and complexity to the blend.

Barefoot Bubbly Brut Cuvée is the driest sparkling wine in our portfolio. Vibrant bubbles lift notes of sliced apple, juicy peach and zesty kiwi, leading to a hints of toast on a crisp, refreshing finish.

Our Mirassou Pinot Noir is crafted in honor of our heritage of producing elegant wine. Approachable and fruit-driven, our Pinot Noir opens with essences of black cherry and raspberry with subtle hints of oak and vanilla. A rich, round palate leads to a silky finish.

Our 2021 Viognier is a dry, medium-bodied bouquet of summer fruit that radiates floral aromatics. A pale gold shines in the glass, releasing aromas of juicy peach and cantaloupe with undertones of banana leaf and marzipan. Layers of sweet apricot and candied peach meet touches of citrus and almond. A mid-palate creaminess pulls through the finish with a decadent layer of brioche.

Our 2022 Stratos White Blend is a bright wine that brims with tropical notes of Cara Cara orange, lime and sliced pineapple. A crackling minerality from a touch of CO2 lifts the fruit and gives Stratos a vibrant mouthfeel. Notes of crisp pear and apple offer a long, refreshing finish.

Our 2021 Reserve Pinot Noir is a classic Central Coast, cool climate Pinot Noir. Rich aromas of the creamy vanilla and cracked sugar of creme brulee meet plump baked cherries in this wine. Beautiful layers of raspberry, cherry and pomegranate give the wine a plush, round mouthfeel accented with taps of allspice and pepper. The finish is lingering with a dollop of caramel at the end.

Our 2020 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry, full-bodied wine with aromatics of baked raspberry preserves, sweet black licorice and peppercorns. The notes of raspberry carry through on the palate with layers of chocolate-covered cherry and a bit of cassis. The tannin structure creates chewy characteristics and the finish is long with nicely balanced fruit notes straight through.

Our Edna Valley Vineyard 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is a bright, balanced white wine with a refreshing palate. Aromas of lemon flower and sliced grapefruit blossom out of the glass with a touch of snipped greens. Layers of candied orange and lemon zest brighten the palate and pull through to a crisp, cleansing finish.

Our delicate La Marca Prosecco has a pale, golden straw color and sparkles with lively effervescence. Opening with aromas of fresh-picked citrus and honeysuckle blossoms, the crisp, clean palate brings fruity notes of green apple, juicy peach and ripe lemon, framed by hints of minerality. The finish is light and refreshing with a tantalizing hint of sweetness. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes:</b><br> The grapes for La Marca Prosecco were selected with great care from small vineyards throughout the Prosecco DOC. After harvest, the grapes were crushed and then pressed in gentle membrane presses. The juice was allowed to cold settle before initial fermentation in upright stainless steel tanks at a maximum temperature of 65°F. The still wine was aged on its lees prior to secondary fermentation. <br><br> <b>Recommended Cuisine:</b><br> La Marca Prosecco has the charm to stand alone as an aperitif, but it also has the body and the acidity to pair well with a range of foods, from seafood and mild cheeses to rich pasta dishes and decadent desserts. <br><br> La Marca adds sparkle to bubbly brunch bites, like classic eggs benedict, chorizo chilaquiles or chicken and waffles. For a crisp and vibrant dinner party, pair Prosecco alongside fresh-caught crab or fish tacos with endive slaw, goat cheese flatbread pizza or roasted chicken with creamy lemon La Marca sauce.

Barefoot Moscato is a sweet, lively white wine with a light, crisp acidity. Tropical aromas of pineapple and orange blossom meet highlights of juicy peach, honey and lemon zest for a perfectly refreshing finish.

Showing deep ruby in the glass, Gradient leads with aromas of black and Bing cherry. Undercurrents of earthy rose petals, black licorice and a sprinkle of brown sugar frame the fruit. Layers of espresso beans and blackberry build on the palate, then lead to a full finish.

A focus on geographic diversity has been a principle of ours or many years. Sourcing grapes from across California gives us the flexibility to produce wines when some regions are affected by forces outside of our control. But when the entire state experiences a great vintage, the diversity can sometimes be a problem…a good problem. Extensive tastings of trial blends are difficult when each blend is great for specific reasons. But in the end, we all agreed on the blend in front of you, comprised of fruit from across California — Sonoma Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands, Sta. Rita Hills and many more. <br><br> <b>WINEMAKER’S NOTES</b><br> Crisp crimson in the glass, the 2021 Slander opens with notes of wild strawberry, pomegranate, Bing cherry and cedar. Secondary aromatics abound, with hints of redwood grove underbrush, white pepper and earth. Delicate on entry, the palate is flooding with red plum, cherry cola, rhubarb and spices. A touch of cocoa powder on the finish, the wine closes with confident acidity and length.

The deep ruby color of our 2021 Columbia Merlot alludes to enticing aromas of rich ripe fruits and a subtle hint of vanilla and cocoa. The intense sunlight and south facing exposure of this region produced fruit with complex, dark berry character. In the cellar, our oak regimen resulted in pronounced notes of toasted vanilla and baking spice. Balanced acidity complements the textured mouthfeel, leading into a bold, lingering finish.

The 2022 Abstract pours a dark purple core with a neon, ruby rim. The nose is quintes sential Abstract but with a broodier twist—notes of ripe black plum, cacao, black pepper, cedar, dried porcini, forest floor musk and sweet oak. The entry is coating and flooding with hints of blueberry preserves, tarragon, balsamic glaze and anise. Bright and lifting thr ough the palate, the finish offers an umami note akin to eggplant yakitori.

A light-bodied classic with a crisp, bright finish, Barefoot Pinot Grigio offers all the flavors of tart green apples with fresh, white peaches. Accented with floral blossoms and citrus aromas, our Pinot Grigio pairs perfectly with traditional favorites like poultry, pasta, and pizza.

Our 2022 Buttery Chardonnay is a rich, full-bodied white wine with a creamy mouthfeel. Inviting aromas of honeysuckle and spiced pear greet the nose. Layers of fresh baked apple and pear meet taps of warm spice and caramelized pineapple. The finish is long and decadent, ending with a drop of rich honey.

Our Mirassou California Pinot Grigio is a refreshing, medium-bodied white wine. Aromas of fresh citrus and white peach greet the nose while layers of stone fruit impart crisp layers of pear and green apple on the palate. Pair this wine with soft cheeses, light pastas and roasted vegetables.

Our Mirassou Chardonnay showcases a beautiful aromas of peach and apple with layers of toasted oak and vanilla. This wine offers a luscious and balanced mouthfeel with a lively finish.

Fragrant and inviting, our 2022 Apothic White is a vibrant blend of white varieties grown in premier California regions. Notes of ripe peach, green apple, lemon zest and juicy pineapple layer on the smooth palate with richer, rounder hints of vanilla and caramel. Bright and crisp on the finish, Apothic White is a bold choice to enjoy on its own, an intriguing pairing for a spirited night dining in or a party-perfect choice for white sangria. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> The 2022 growing season began with ideal conditions as substantial winter rains offered abundant water resources early in the season. While mostly even and temperate, warm stretches in summer accelerated ripening, leading to a fast and early harvest. Overall, quality was high, with concentrated, layered flavor development and rich complexity. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> To retain the natural characteristics of each varietal, we fermented the blend at cool temperatures. The Pinot Grigio, Viognier and Riesling were fermented 100% in stainless steel tanks to preserve delicate fruit aromas. Select lots of Chardonnay were fermented and aged on oak to add a touch of vanilla characteristics. A small portion of the blend was selected for malolactic fermentation, which enhanced character and mouthfeel.
