Our 2021 Pinot Grigio is a bright white wine with a refreshing mouthfeel. Silvery straw in color, this wine opens with aromas of Meyer lemon, ripe pear and honey. The palate features pear, honeydew melon and white peaches and notes of citrus zest. The finish is clean with accents of stone fruit. <br><br> Fruit for our delicious Pinot Grigio is sourced from select vineyards throughout California. The 2021 vintage experienced ongoing dry conditions in the state. A mild summer helped increase hangtime, resulting in optimal ripening and an excellent vintage overall. <br><br> The wine was fermented exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel fermenters at 55°F with no lees contact. The lower temperature helped slow the rate of fermentation, encouraging the wine to retain its bright acidity and fully develop its aromatics. Specialty yeast strains noted for their aroma-enhancing qualities were also employed during fermentation.

Our 2022 California Pinot Gris is delightfully aromatic, approachable and bright. Our 2021 Chateau Souverain Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, California-style white wine. Our Sauvignon Blanc starts with bright layers of juicy grapefruit that lead to hints of lime flower and pear. A crisp, clean palate reveals pops of candied tangerine and mouthwatering acidity for a breezy, thoroughly refreshing finish. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes:</b><br> The 2021 growing season was dry with budbreak in early March. Harvest began in early August. The resulting grapes were picked at the optimal ripeness while still maintaining their natural acidity. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes:</b><br> We harvested our Sauvignon Blanc at the optimal sugar levels to showcase the bright citrus character of the variety. Once at the winery, we whole-cluster pressed, then fermented slowly at cool temperatures in stainless steel to preserve the distinct floral and fruit notes. After fermenting each lot separately, we selected just the right combination to offer bright, juicy character and crisp acidity. We refrained from any oak exposure or malolactic fermentation.

Sourced from some of California’s finest vineyards, our Franciscan Sauvignon Blanc is filled with notes of with grapefruit, green apple & lemon zest. Crisp and refreshing, it pairs perfectly with Baja fish tacos and seasonal salads.

Our 2020 Chateau Souverain Chardonnay is a lightly oaked, full-bodied wine from California. Our Chardonnay opens with aromas of light honeysuckle, baked apple and freshly baked brioche. The palate offers layers of pear and lemon curd. The silky mouthfeel finishes with just a hint of crisp apple on the lengthy finish. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes:</b><br> California’s 2020 vintage experienced a cool, mild growing season with an accelerated heat spell in August, resulting in early ripening. Vintage 2020 in California shows vibrant acidity and concentrated flavor characteristics. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes:</b><br> After harvest, the fruit was gently pressed and allowed to settle before being racked to fermenters. The juice was slowly fermented at cool temperature and after fermentation it was left on lees which were stirred up to four times a month through January. This helps to build richness and achieve the smooth mouthfeel that is the hallmark of the Chateau Souverain style.

Our 2022 Sauvignon Blanc offers an elegant, crisp and beautifully balanced expression of Marlborough, capturing the quintessential nuances, layers and textures of the celebrated region. Bright and aromatic, notes of grapefruit, lime zest and green apple lift with every swirl of the glass. The palate is crisp and vibrant, as pineapple, guava and white peach characteristics layer with hints of florals, fresh green herbs and wet river stone-like minerality. The finish is long and precise, a mouth-watering sip that makes this an excellent pairing with food. <br><br> <b>VITICULTURE NOTES</b><br> The 2022 growing season was cool and long, offering optimal conditions for ripening while preserving excellent acidity. A wet winter gave soils ample water resources for the season ahead. Spring arrived with ideal conditions, giving us wonderful fruit set and healthy yields. Summer was dry and lengthy, allowing fruit to hang on the vines while ripening slowly. Grapes were harvested later than usual, delivering fruit with flavor maturity and concentration while retaining pure fruit expression. <br><br> <b>WINEMAKING NOTES</b><br> We source the fruit for this wine exclusively from Marlborough. Composed from up to 100 small lots from select sites across the region gives Whitehaven a backbone of bright fruit character, well balanced texture and a food-friendly finish. Our Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested in cool conditions between late March and early April, then pressed immediately with minimal skin contact. After cold settling, the clear juice was fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks at very low temperatures with select yeast strains to preserve the inherent varietal characteristics and classic Marlborough flavors. Wines sat on light yeast lees in tank for up to six weeks before blending.

Barefoot Bubbly Pinot Grigio is a light-bodied, refreshing sparkling wine. Fine bubbles lift aromas of jasmine and orange blossom out of the glass while juicy accents green apples lead to a crisp finish.

Barefoot Chardonnay is a bright white wine with notes of crisp green apples, sweet peaches and highlights of honey and vanilla. More dry than sweet, Chardonnay delivers bold flavor with a smooth finish.

Our 2021 Buttery Chardonnay is a rich, full-bodied white wine with a creamy mouthfeel. Inviting aromas of honeysuckle and spiced pear greet the nose. Layers of fresh baked apple and pear meet taps of warm spice and caramelized pineapple. The finish is long and decadent, ending with a drop of rich honey.

Our 2021 Clos du Bois Russian River Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay is a classic and elegant wine. Aromas of white nectarine, spiced pear, and a hint of white flower open in the glass. On the palate, layers of caramel apple and toasted hazelnuts are followed by a balanced, bright mouthfeel. Hints of minerality complements the silky long finish of this wine.

Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc is an fruit-forward, crisp-style white wine. Refreshing notes of honeydew melon and nectarine open to dashes of jalapeño and sweet lime on the finish.

Our 2022 Sonoma Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is a distinctive expression of the Russian River Valley’s cool climate. Inviting aromas of lemon zest, orange blossom and ruby grapefruit rise from the glass. Brilliant notes of Meyer lemon, green apple and honeydew melon layer with a weightless floral quality and a refreshing acidity that cleanses the palate. This wine is easy to enjoy on its own, but also works well with many dishes such as chicken piccata, freshly shucked oysters or an order of well-salted pommes frites.
