Deep, intensely flavorful and velvet-smooth, our 2020 Apothic Crush is a luscious Red Blend brimming with appealing fruit character. A blend of Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel, this is a Crush that demands to be shared. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> We selected the majority of the grapes for Apothic Crush from Lodi and other bold regions in California’s Central Valley. Lodi is known as a producer of intensely concentrated, silky textured fruit. California’s 2020 vintage experienced a cool, mild growing season with an accelerated heat spell in August, resulting in early ripening. Vintage 2020 in California shows vibrant acidity and concentrated flavors. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> We harvested a majority of the grapes for our Apothic Crush at night in cool temperatures to preserve the character of the fruit. The Pinot Noir was cold soaked for 1-2 days, then fermented between 80° to 85°F. The other varieties were fermented between 86° to 90° F. To create a silky mouthfeel and toasted caramel characteristics, we aged the blend in a mixture of French and American oak.

Ghost Pines Chardonnay offers layers of fresh baked brioche and apple with zests of lemon. This wine displays richly layered characteristics of pear, toasted oak and vanilla spice on the palate. Vibrant acidity complements the luscious, textured mouthfeel, finishing with balance and grace.

Chateau Souverain Pinot Noir opens with dark red fruit aromas reminiscent of cherry and raspberry. On the palate, notes of fresh blueberries are complemented by hints of clove and vanilla. The wine finishes with cleansing acidity and a fruit-driven balance that gives the wine a polished sense of elegance.

It's rare to find a wine from the Napa Valley composed of all five Bordeaux-style varietals, but for many years, that has been Papillon's focus. The raw strength and prestige of Cabernet Sauvignon buttressed by the opulence of Merlot, the spiciness of Cabernet Franc, the depth of Malbec and the sheer unctuousness of Petit Verdot come together seamlessly. The 2021 Papillon is sourced from Napa Valley growers we've worked with for decades-Stagecoach Vineyard, Indian Joe, Morisoli Vineyard and even a touch from the Monte Rosso Vineyard over on Moon Mountain, just to name a few. <br><br><i>Our good friend and fellow winemaker, Greg Gorman, photographed the label.</i><br><br> The 2021 Papillon fills the glass with an unmistakable dark crimson, a flash of neon purple and a ruby rim. Tears move glacially and the wine opens with aromatics of boysenberry jam, violets, chocolate covered blueberry and hints of Cara Cara rind, graphite and brioche. The entry and mid-palate are bright throughout with considerable weight-tones of cassis, blackberry and baking spices flourish. Enveloping texture, chalky, drying tannins and an enduring finish bows out the wine.

Germain-Robin XO is an icon of California brandy. Distilled exclusively in Pruhlo Charentais pot stills and aged in French Limousin oak barrels, XO highlights the unique flavors and characteristics of California-grown grapes. The signature grape, Pinot Noir, provides a dark cherry character and a rich silky mouthfeel. Colombard distillate adds a fresh apple character while Sémillon provides richness with peach and apricot notes. The balance of both fruit and oak flavors is unique to Germain-Robin XO. The vanilla and toast character from oak aging complement the fruit creating layers of complexity that only can be found from sourcing great fruit. Texturally, the brandy is extremely smooth and has an incredibly long finish.

Barefoot Cellars Merlot is a luscious wine with alluring flavors of boysenberry and split cherries followed by hints of silky chocolate for a decadent finish.

The 2021 Dark Horse Pinot Grigio is a dry, crisp white wine from sunny California. Aromas of Meyer lemon, honeycomb and white blossom brighten the glass. A juicy palate follows with notes of Meyer lemon, green apple and pear that pulls through to a delicious finish. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes:</b><br> Grapes for our Pinot Grigio are sourced from select vineyards throughout California. The 2021 vintage experienced ongoing dry conditions in the state. A mild summer increased hangtime, which allowed the grapes to develop more flavor concentration. Harvest 2021 produced slightly lower yields of excellent quality fruit. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes:</b><br> The grapes for our 2021 Pinot Grigio were harvested at peak ripeness, then fermented at low to moderate temperatures between 55⁰-62⁰ F. Our winemaker carefully selected aromatic yeast to enhance aromas and create an expressive mouthfeel. After fermentation, all lots were aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling to preserve brightness and balance.

The 2021 Chateau Souverain Merlot is a smooth, round red wine with rich undertones. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry and toasted oak. The palate echoes the nose, with ribbons of toasted caramel and roast coffee supporting the fruit notes. A balanced acidity gives this wine a clean finish.

The 2021 Dark Horse Chardonnay is a full-bodied, silky white wine from California. Our Chardonnay opens with aromas of ripe peach, mango, pineapple and honeysuckle. Bright notes of white nectarine, lemon curd, guava and honey play on the palate before finishing with notes of toasty vanilla oak. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> Our winemaker, Beth Liston, selected the grapes for this Chardonnay from premier vineyards throughout California. The 2021 growing season was dry with budbreak in early March. Harvest began in early August. The resulting grapes were picked at the optimal ripeness while still maintaining their natural acidity. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> We picked the grapes for our 2021 Chardonnay during the cooler morning and evening hours of August. Fermentation took place at low to moderate temperatures of 55-62°F. Our winemaker carefully selected aromatic yeast to intensify the natural aromatics and enhance the fruit characteristics. After fermentation, the wines were stored in stainless steel tanks to preserve their natural acidity and balance.

Our top expression of Sauvignon Blanc, Windward delivers wonderful aromatic intensity, a generous, layered taste profile and classic Marlborough style. Aromas of white peach, kiwi and lemongrass carry through to the silky palate, blending seamlessly with hints of passion fruit, citrus and crushed fresh green herbs. An attractive mineral backbone and suggestions of sea spray add appealing texture, finishing long and bright. This memorable, food-friendly Sauvignon Blanc can be paired with creamy cheeses, green salads, fresh seafood or grilled chicken. <br><br> <b>VITICULTURE NOTES</b><br> Grown in four exclusive vineyard sites across Marlborough, 55% from three sub-regions within the Wairau Valley (22% Renwick, 22% Spring Creek, 11% Lower Wairau) and 45% from two separate blocks of a single vineyard in Awatere Valley. <br><br> The 2022 growing season was cool and long, offering optimal conditions for ripening while preserving excellent acidity. A wet winter gave soils ample water resources for the season ahead. Spring arrived with ideal conditions, giving us wonderful fruit set and healthy yields. Summer was dry and lengthy, allowing fruit to hang on the vines while ripening slowly. Grapes were harvested later than usual, delivering fruit with flavor maturity and concentration while retaining pure fruit expression. <br><br> <b>WINEMAKING NOTES</b><br> Windward Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of our five best lots of Sauvignon Blanc from the 2022 vintage. Both in the vineyards and in our cellar, these standout blocks stood out above the rest for their aromatic intensity, layered flavor development and incredible structure. Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested in cool conditions, then pressed immediately with minimal skin contact. After cold settling, the clear juice was fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks at very low temperatures with selected yeast strains to preserve inherent varietal characteristics and classic Marlborough flavors. These lots sat on light yeast lees in tank for up to six weeks prior to blending.

Our 2021 Jayson Chardonnay offers a captivating interplay of richness and finesse, with a soulful complexity revealing itself with each sip. The nose is greeted with aromas of orange blossom and honeysuckle, lemon oil, and crushed Marcona almond. Notes of preserved Meyer lemon introduce the bright, finely detailed palate, the integrated oak profile lending a complementing mid-palate richness. Interwoven notes of butterscotch, marzipan, and grilled pineapple slowly emerge and sustain through a long, layered finish.

You won’t be disappointed.  <br><br> <b>About the Wine</b><br> The 2021 Apothic White is a vibrant blend of four varietals grown from California and Washington state. Chardonnay leads the blend while Pinot Gris, Riesling and Viognier add fragrant aromas and complexity. Layers of green apple, lemon zest and tree-ripened apricot open to a palate layered with notes of white peach and vanilla undertones. The finish is bright and crisp. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> Ongoing drought conditions throughout California caused a slight reduction in crop size in 2021. Mild summer conditions allowed the fruit to take its time ripening and developing optimal flavor concentration. Washington state experienced some prolonged heat spells, which also caused a slight drop in crop size. Harvest in both viticultural regions produced yields of high-quality grapes with excellent quality. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> To retain the natural characteristics of each varietal, we fermented the blend at cool temperatures. The Pinot Grigio, Viognier and Riesling were fermented 100% in stainless steel tanks to preserve delicate fruit aromas. Select lots of Chardonnay were fermented and aged on oak to add a touch of vanilla before undergoing malolactic fermentation to enhance fruit character.

Our 2021 Clos du Bois Pinot Noir is an approachable, medium-bodied red wine from California. Aromas of cherry and vanilla bean rise from the glass with a touch of anise. This wine brims with layers of sweet cherry, strawberry and raspberry with a silky mouthfeel. Ribbons of toasted oak and caramel underscore the fruit, leading to a long finish. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> This elegant Pinot Noir is sourced from select vineyards in some of California’s most renowned growing regions. The 2021 growing season experienced a warm spring, which brought on early budbreak. Dry conditions served to further reduce crops size. However, anticipated diurnal temperature shifts kept the fruit from ripening too quickly and allowed it to develop slowly and evenly. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> We prefer to harvest our Pinot Noir in the cool early morning hours, which helps preserve the inherent fruit character of the grapes. After it is delivered to the winery, we gently destem and send mostly whole berries directly to stainless steel fermenters to be cold soaked at 60-65°F for up to 2 days. During primary fermentation, we meticulously managed the extraction on skins to capture a silky tannin structure. To create subtle hints of vanilla and toasted oak, we racked the wine onto oak and let it age for 3-4 months. Individual lots were then chosen and combined to create the final blend.

Our 2021 Malbec is a big, full-bodied wine made from Argentina's most famous red grape. Showing dark purple in the glass, this wine radiates aromas of blackberry and semi-sweet chocolate. The palate brims with layers of blackcurrant and red raspberry underscored with hints of white pepper. The mouthfeel is silky, leading to a long finish with touches of pomegranate and vanilla bean. <br><br> <b>About The Region</b><br> Some of the most renowned winegrowing regions of Argentina are in Mendoza, a province in the western Cuyo region. Tucked under the massive shoulders of the Andes Mountains, the vines thrive in desert conditions quenched by mineral-rich snowmelt. Altitudes from 3,000 to 5,000 feet surround the vines in cool temperatures, crisp mountain air and sunlight that helps produce the bold flavor characteristics found in Mendoza-grown Malbec. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> The 2021 harvest in Mendoza began with unseasonal frost in early October. This caused a slight reduction in crop size but was mitigated when warm weather kicked in and the regular diurnal temperature shifts came into play. Overall, the grapes were allowed to fully ripen on the vine, resulting in outstanding quality. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> The grapes for our Malbec were hand harvested, de-stemmed and crushed. The must was cold soaked for 72 hours prior to fermentation, which occurred over seven days in both upright and conical tanks at a maximum temperature of 85°F. For optimal extraction of color and flavor, we used pump-overs and the skins were left in contact with the juice for up to 20 days. This wine was aged on a combination of French and American oak before bottling.

<b>About the Wine</b><br> The 2021 Clos du Bois Sauvignon Blanc is a bright wine that blossoms with aromas of lemongrass and honeysuckle. Pale straw in color, this wine delivers layers of Meyer lemon, kiwi and grapefruit with a lovely hint of white raspberry on the finish. A bright mouthfeel leads to a cleansing midpalate and a medium-long finish. <br><br> <b>Viticulture Notes</b><br> We source the fruit for our delicious Sauvignon Blanc from select vineyards throughout California. The 2021 vintage began cool with much of the state experiencing dry conditions throughout the spring months. Summer brought the usual weather patterns that California vineyards thrive on: warm sunny days and cool fog-laden evenings, which allows the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. The result is fully developed flavor characteristics, color and acidity. <br><br> <b>Winemaking Notes</b><br> To retain the lively acidity and fruit characteristics of our Sauvignon Blanc, the grapes were harvested in the cool hours of the evening or early morning. After arrival at the winery, the fruit was gently pressed as whole clusters before being racked into stainless steel tanks to undergo fermentation. The yeast strain was chosen for its minimal impact on the flavors and aromas of the wine allowing the fruit to shine. The resulting wine is fresh, vibrant and delicious.

Our Edna Valley Vineyard Merlot leads with aromas of blackberry and cherry with light layers of espresso, black pepper and leather. These characteristics reveal a velvety mouthfeel and inviting palate with supple tannins for a thoroughly satisfying Merlot.

Our 2019 Chardonnay is rich & toasty with hints of butter, complimented by layers of apple, spice & tropical notes.

Our 2021 Kali Hart Pinot Noir is a fruit-forward expression of our coastal influenced vineyards in Santa Lucia Highlands, California. Aromas of ripe black cherry and plum greet the nose with inviting notes of toasted vanilla and warm clove. Soft, silky tannins reveal layers of crushed blackberry and strawberry with a hint of savory herbs. The finish is long and luscious with a touch of minerality.

Fruity. Loud. Juicy like Saturday night. Lolli Sweet Spiked is a pop of flavor for moments that call for something bolder. A spiked rich red blend with hints of caramelized orange. Best served chilled, over ice with a side of fruit.

The Athena Chardonnay is full, rich, and has distinctive notes of ripe tree stone and tropical fruit, which are complemented by toasted oak flavors.

Nearly bursting out of the glass, this wine has intense aromas of blackberry jam, and blackcurrant, complemented with sweet coconut and hints of dried herbs. The jammy character carries through to the mouth, with endless dark fruit, a big bodied, plush mouthfeel and notes of nutmeg.

Predominant aromas of sweet citrus fruit with hints of ginger, exotic flowers and spices are supported by a framework of cinchona bark and bitter root extracts. Adds refreshing fruit flavors and crisp bitterness to a variety of cocktails. Pairs especially well with sparkling wine and aged spirits. Pairs with sparkling wine, bourbon, rye whiskey, and spirit forward cocktails.

A light-bodied classic with a crisp, bright finish, Barefoot Pinot Grigio offers all the flavors of tart green apples with fresh, white peaches. Accented with floral blossoms and citrus aromas, our Pinot Grigio pairs perfectly with traditional favorites like poultry, pasta, and pizza.

In the famed book, The Count of Monte Cristo, protagonist Edmond Dantes arrives to Marseille on a ship named ‘Pharaon.’ The word’s etymological roots and context since inspired Dave Phinney’s philosophy and the reserve wine for Department 66. Aromas of sweet oak, dark chocolate liqueur and Tahitian vanilla are complemented by ripe plum and herbal sage notes. Savory red fruit flavors of boysenberry and rhubarb fill the palate and blend with a glimpse of schist and minerality. Firm tannins are primed for extended aging while lingering acidity extends the finish across the palate.
