Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc V20 750ML

Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc is a classic expression of New Zealand’s Marlborough region. In the glass, the wine opens with aromas of lemongrass, guava and snipped greens. Crisp, refreshing notes of passionfruit and grapefruit lead to a bright mouthfeel with a long, clean finish. The 2020 growing season in Marlborough was ideal with warm temperatures occurring throughout the summer and low rainfall before harvest. Harvest yielded slightly more fruit than the previous vintage, producing optimal acidity and concentrated flavor.

Edna Valley Vineyard Pinot Grigio V22 750ML

Our Edna Valley Vineyard California 2022 Pinot Grigio is a bright, sunny wine perfect for summer. Aromas of honeysuckle and lime blossom lift from the glass, leading to juicy layers of sliced white peach and pear. The stone fruit notes lead to a refreshing, crisp finish. Harvest Notes Our Pinot Grigio is made from 72% of grapes from California's Central Coast and 28% from the Central Valley. The 2022 growing season was mild, starting with rainfall that quenched the soil. In September, warmer temperatures hastened harvest, which began two weeks sooner. Overall, harvest 2022 yielded slightly less quantities of fruit with optimal color and flavor concentration. Winemaking Notes After harvesting, the grapes were immediately pressed to extract the juice without pulling any color from the skins. The free-run juice was then fermented and aged in 100% stainless steel tanks at very cool temperatures. To create the most fruit-forward expression of the grapes, we allowed the yeast more time to convert the sugar into alcohol.

Clos du Bois Sauvignon Blanc V19 750ml

This refreshing Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with light fare from all seasons - especially shellfish and salads.

Orin Swift Machete 750ML 2018

Note: Label packaging may vary. A paradox can catch you off guard. A powerful punch and a delicate touch – this Petite Sirah-based blend manages to be both. And the labels? Iconic, but never the same. With fruit sourced from all over the state, Machete is a culmination of bird-dogging some of the best Petite Sirah, Grenache, and Syrah vineyards in California. Double-blind tasted to assure the highest quality fruit, making the cut isn’t easy. Tasting Notes: Pure inky garnet in the glass, the aromatics of plum compote, wild blackberries, crushed gravel, peanut brittle, and Tahitian vanilla emanate. Massive on the entry, the mid-palate is diverse with flavors of dark plums, black pepper, Amarena cherries, slow-roasted Moroccan lamb and a marbled leather texture. Rich, enveloping, and vivacious, the wine finishes with perpetuating energy and length—not to mention the satisfying tannins that rouse a desire for more.

Orin Swift Palermo 750ML 2019

Hot on the heels of a bountiful 2018 vintage, the 2019 growing season saw slightly lower yields. However, we were able to maintain the same flexibility and quality of the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from across the region. As our entry - level Napa Cab, Palermo checks all the boxes—classic aromatics, lush and rich body, and puckering tannins that will age in a short amount of time. Featuring sites from the valley floor to the mountain ridges, the wine is sourced from Stagecoach, Cypress, Sun Lake, Morisoli and Solari Vineyards, just to name a few. A brooding red core with a rich cardinal hued rim, the wine opens with classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics—ripe cassis, sunburst raspberry, graphite and chapparal surrounded by a balanced frame of new oak. The bold aromatics translate onto the palate seamlessly with more cassis, red licorice, fresh fennel and mixed berry compote. Integrated yet prominent puckering tannins finish off the wine with a touch of lingering black tea.

Orin Swift Mannequin 750ML 2019

Fashion goes through cycles with vintage becoming modern and contemporary becoming stale. Mannequins follow those trends too; the vintage having personality, the contemporary unable to express—all the while, the mannequin stays relevant. In similar ways, Chardonnay is going through its own evolution; the butter-bombs of the past are giving way to nervy, acid-forward expressions of the varietal. Staying relevant and being true to our style is the goal of Mannequin—a balanced form of Chardonnay that isn’t overly oaky but has the trendy nuance of our times. Glowing in the glass, the yellow gold core flutters as the pale straw rim swirls. Immediate aromas of Meyer lemon, jasmine, yellow chrysanthemum and a hint of fresh cut pineapple and Maldon sea salt come from the glass in layers. On the palate, a silky and opulent entry of juicy yellow peach and nectarine is balanced by a vibrantly elegant finish of lemon zest, almond praline and toffee.

Orin Swift 8 Years in the Desert 750ML 2019

Working with Zinfandel requires using the Goldilocks Principle: Pick it too early and you end up with a stemmy wine. Pick it too late and you risk a stuck fermentation. Pick it just right... well, what do you think? 2019 marks the third release of our eight-part passion play known as 8 Years in the Desert. As we meander through the coming years and remaining vintages, the wine, as well as the labels on the bottle, will continue to evolve. If we do our jobs right, the wine should only get better. The labels have a bit more of a pre-ordained nature — they’re all born from the original eight featured in the limited edition. Each vintage will revisit the original labels in sequential order. Some of you know them all, some of you only know label #1. Some will like what comes next, some will hate it. But suffice to say they are all cut from a similar cloth. As with the previous four vintages, our 2019 blend combines the heart and body of Zinfandel with the nuance and complexity of Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Grenache. Sourced from quality vineyards like Monte Rosso, Bismark, Korte, and Frei Ranch, 8 Years in the Desert uses only our favorite lots of each grape. Double-blind tasted and aged over a ten-month period, we are very proud of our 2019 vintage and hope you enjoy it now and for many years to come. Evolving aromatics present themselves first with black and white pepper, then a ripe fruit core of brambly raspberry and sweet persimmon, finishing with savory notes of allspice, clove and fig leaf. Boisterous yet elegant on entry, the wine shows its plush layers with distinctive strawberry preserves, blackberry and raspberry pie topped with fresh crème. Round, ripe tannins close the palate menacingly, leaving one with a desperate thirst for more.

At Orin Swift, we have been fortunate to have access to a wide range of vineyards across California. Luckily, this diversity of sources meant that the horrific fires of 2020 spared most of our fruit. Carefully tasted, tested and tasted again, we made sure any lots included in our 2020 wines were free of smoke taint. Abstract being one of our largest blends, we were diligent with the process of evaluating the wines; a patchwork of individual lots that retain some of their character but meld seamlessly together—like the collage—is why this wine is always a team favorite. The 2020 Abstract pours a neon purple splash and an opaque maroon core with dark aromatics upfront. Black plum, boysenberry and hints of bing cherry and lavender invite a taste. On the palate, the aromatics turn into the sense of taste along with a touch of dark chocolate and reduced blackberry. Supple drying tannins and a slight chalky texture close the wine with a calming finish.

Amelia Brut Rosé 750ML

A pleasing pale pink, Amelia Brut Rosé Crémant de Bordeaux is a rich, medium-bodied and layered sparkling wine from France’s renowned Bordeaux region. Beautifully rounded on the palate, Amelia’s bright red fruit aromas are complemented by a soft, creamy texture and hints of toasted brioche — a result of 18 months of en tirage aging. In the glass, Amelia has the delicate hint of strawberries and plums from Merlot, while Cabernet Franc adds notes of ripe raspberries, florals and refreshing acidity. Crisp and effervescent, Amelia Brut Rosé is an ideal food match.

André Champagne Extra Dry 750ML

Don’t let the name fool you. André Champagne Extra Dry is a semi-dry California champagne. This dry sparkling wine is rich with pear and apple aromas and just enough sugar to make it an excellent mixer. This Extra Dry is perfect for any party...but we mean brunch, duh.

Apothic Brew 750ML

The limited release Apothic Brew is an innovative and bold red blend infused with cold brew coffee. This plush, full-bodied blend matches the concentrated dark fruit notes of red blends with the mocha and subtle chocolate characteristics of the cold brew. Hints of maple and toasted oak linger on the long finish, highlighted by the distinctive rich, smooth depth of cold brew coffee. Viticulture Notes: Grapes for Apothic Brew were grown in California’s consistently warm and sunny growing season. Ideal conditions for steady, full development, grapes were picked at optimum ripeness. Harvest was early, with low yields and small clusters, leading to outstanding, high quality grapes. The wine shows rich, intense concentration with bold structure and balance. Winemaking Notes: The grapes in Apothic Brew were harvested mostly at night in cool, crisp temperatures to preserve the rich, natural fruit character. Fermentation occurred at a maximum temperature of 88°F in a combination of cone sweeps and upright stainless steel tanks before undergoing malolactic fermentation. During aging, the wine was racked every two to three months. Cold brew coffee was infused into the blend before bottling. An additional two months of aging allowed the smooth, rich cold brew coffee to blend seamlessly with the bold fruit notes of the wine, while still retaining their unique characteristics.

Alamos Malbec V20 750ML

Our 2020 Malbec is a robust symphony of dark fruit that captures the complexity of Mendoza’s iconic varietal. The color shows inky purple with a halo of black tulip. Pronounced notes of black cherry and blackberry integrate with finely grained spice and vanilla oak. Notes of wild berries and round tannins fill out the palate, leading to a long and velvety smooth finish with a touch of dried herbs. Delicious with wood-fired meat. A warm growing season during 2020 accelerated ripening and led to the earliest harvest on record. As a result, the berries harvested were small with expressive, concentrated flavors and ideal acidity.

Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon V21 750ML

Mountain and benchland vineyards deliver a layered wine with structure, fruit intensity and finesse. Layers of vanilla and cassis are complemented by hints of cedar and a dusty finish on the palate. The 2021 growing season marked a much-welcome return to ideal. Winter rains quenched the soil, setting the stage for dry weather the rest of the season. Over the summer, conditions stayed uneventful and mild, giving the grapes the luxury of hanging on the vine. Harvest began early, producing low yields of small berries with intense flavor concentration and optimal ripeness. After early morning harvesting, the grapes were gently destemmed and put into upright tanks to cold soak for up to three days. To further extract flavor and varietal character, the wine was given pump-overs three times a day and kept on skins for 15 to 20 days of maceration time. The wine was then transferred to French (25% new) oak barrels for a period of 18 months.

A "No wimpy Merlot" with rich scents of black cherry, plum, vanilla, and dark chocolate. A very well-rounded wine with accentuated balanced flavors of plum, vanilla and cherry-spice. Mature, yet yielding, tannins lend a long and lingering finish.
