If Marlborough, New Zealand, is home to the ultimate cool-climate Pinot Noir, Wairau Valley is the Pinnacle of Cool. The braided river channels and snow covered mountains create the perfect setting for Pinot. And the cool autumn winds drive intensely vivid flavors on the vine. Rich plum and cherry preserve aromas come through in the glass.

You’ll get a touch of spice from the oak aging and a rich mouthfeel from the malolactic fermentation. Winemaker Simon Waghorn stirred the lees periodically, giving this Pinot a textured gaminess. It’s right at home next to venison or roasted pork.

Whitehaven has been making top quality Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand’s Marlborough region for nearly 15 years. Winemaker Simon Waghorn used grapes from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys to produce this intensely aromatic and fruit-forward wine.

Crisp and clean. Classic grassy and ripe citrus accents. Hints of gooseberry and currant leaf.

The wine was aged on light yeast lees for a few months to give it that nice, round mouthfeel. This is the kind of Sauvignon Blanc that made the world sit up and take notice of Marlborough.
