2004 Rancho Zabaco Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
California - Dry Creek Valley

The Dry Creek Valley is Ground Zero in the Zin Zone. Zin Central.
Zin City. Home of Rancho Zabaco, of course. Winemaker Eric Cinnamon gets these grapes off benchlands elevated above the creek, and he treats this treasure with care.

Very full-bodied, with rich red and black fruit aromas and flavors. Nice spicy character hitting high notes over the moderate toasted oak bass line. Go wild: pair with venison or boar.

2005 Rancho Zabaco Lodi Zinfandel
California - Lodi

Lodi, at the far north end of the San Joaquin Valley, is making news as one of the new “hot” AVAs. Rancho Zabaco has had vineyard sources there for years, and it’s time they bragged about it.

This is a big wine, very Zin-ish, with ripe, jammy blackberry and black cherry flavors. Full malolactic fermentation makes it very plush and round. Ample tannins are balanced with just the right amount of oak.

2007 Rancho Zabaco Heritage Vines Zinfandel
California - Sonoma County

Sonoma County Zinfandel has to be the best in the world. Zin has been in the ground there for 150 years, and its “heritage” includes the entire history of winemaking in northern California. Winemaker Eric Cinnamon is part of that heritage, now making sophisticated wines like this one.

Easy to like immediately. Ripe flavors of blueberries, black cherry and spice. Hints of vanilla and toasted oak from the aging regime.

Check out the winemaker's notes for this wine.

Rancho Zabaco Sauvignon Blanc
California - Russian River Valley

With fruit from the Russian River Valley, this wine belongs on the top shelf. One of critic Robert Parker’s favorites, this Sauvignon Blanc earns praise for body, character, flavor and style. A long, cool fermentation delivers all the goodies.

A lovely golden color. Very active aromas of boxwood, cut grass, lime peel, lemongrass and sweet pea. Taste the grapefruit and passion fruit.
