When we first tried this wine, we could think of only one thing: How can we get hold of a roast duck and some chestnut dressing? Very attractive food wine. Riverina and the Limestone Coast contributed most of the grapes in this nice, long, wine. Lots of fruit displayed across an elegant structure.

Lovely color shading from crimson to brick red. Black fruit flavors, currants, mocha and chocolate. A little hint of cinnamon dancing over the moderate oak.

We are currently sold out of this vintage.

Fifth generation family winemaker Scott McWilliam made several individual batches of wine to blend into this bottle for body, character and finesse. Then the wine went into French oak for a year, sitting on its lees, stirred regularly. Very creamy texture in the middle of the mouth.

Pale straw color, with ripe melon and fig preceding flavors of lemon and green melon. A nice nutty cashew undertone from the oak.

All the right Merlot adjectives apply here – supple, round, fruit-forward, soft tannins. McWilliam’s gets a wine like this by having the best vineyard sources and the best winemaking practices. Long cold-soaking for good extraction. Pump-overs all day long. Rack and return, rack and return.

A bright, youthful wine, presenting a scent of violets amid the forest berries and ripe plums. The oak influence comes across in a light cedary note on the palate.

McWilliam’s Wines has been at the forefront of Australian winemaking since 1877. With this new release of a supple, fruity and food-friendly Pinot Noir, McWilliam’s brings its considerable expertise to a notably tricky varietal. Bursting with ripe flavors and rooted in surprising complexity, we think you'll be thrilled with this exciting venture from one of Australia's most renowned wineries.

The McWilliam family has been making wine for 130 years, and the accumulated wisdom comes through in this Riesling. Vineyards in the broad, warm Riverina region were blended with the higher, cooler Clare and Eden valleys of Southeastern Australia to make a balanced, deeply satisfying wine.

Very refined aromas from the cool climate grapes: lemon, lime, mandarin orange. Fills in with orange blossom and musk. Crisp finish.

Vineyards in several of Southeast Australia’s most prestigious growing regions contributed components for this wine – a masterful blending of abundant fruit and layers of interest. See if you can pick out the highlights from the “terra rossa” of Coonawarra, or that nice round fruit from Hilltops. All present, all in balance.

Crimson-purple, the way Shiraz should be. Aromas of plum, forest berries and licorice. A floor of vanilla and mocha flavors from conditioning on toasted oak.
