Proximity to the Pacific Ocean gives Monterey County the cool, foggy climate that is ideal for growing Chardonnay grapes. Typically, bud break begins several weeks earlier and harvest ends several weeks later in Monterey County than in other Central Coast growing regions. This extra month of time on the vine allows the grapes to develop a crisp, bright acidity and lush tropical flavors. Dark fruit flavors of raspberry and dark cherry with hints of caramel and toffee. Framed by floral and black pepper notes, this wine has a smooth, lingering finish.

If you haven’t yet learned to love Viognier, this is the place to start. This Rhône variety is a shy vine, a little hard to grow, but it becomes charismatic in the glass—very aromatic, very richly flavored. It’s the new white wine you must experience. Try it with rich foods to freshen your palate and delight your senses.

You’ll get melon and bright tropical fruits, a little of that buttered toast in the mouthfeel, and a nice, crisp acidity.
