Since its entrée into the world of wine in 18th century Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon has remained a beloved red wine grape in this famed region of France. Today, Cabernet is considered the “King of Reds” in California, topping the state's list of red grape plantings. Down under, Australians are taking notice of this powerful red wine, as it rapidly catches up in popularity to Shiraz.

Cabernet Sauvignon is easy to grow and adapts to a variety of climates, while retaining its characteristic flavor. The Cabernet grape yields rich wines capable of great depth.

A full-bodied, substantial wine with a deep red color, Cabernet Sauvignon can achieve outstanding structure and intensity. The high concentration of tannin found in this wine gives it firmness and complexity.

Cabernet Sauvignon expresses flavors of red currant, black currant, chocolate, mulberry, mint and spice. As the wine ages, flavors of coffee, fragrant cigar box and caramel emerge. Most Cabernets are drinkable from 3 to 10+ years after bottling.
