Grace and substance characterize this wine. It was fermented in steel, which gives it all that bright fruit pizzazz. Part of the lot was left on its lees for a few months in mellowed French oak barrels, and that’s where the nice round body and mouth-filling viscosity come from. Reminiscent of a classic Alsatian Pinot Gris.
A beautiful golden straw color invites you in. Good expression of white peach, fig and citrus flavors. Hints of honeydew melon add a little weight on the palate.
"The Pinot Gris . . . exhibits lots of elegant, orange rind, apple and melon characteristics in its medium-bodied, crisp, flavorful, bone dry personality." - 89 Points, Robert Parker, Jr.
