Moscato does not mean “mouth watering” in Italian, but when you taste this wine, you’ll think it should. You’ll get sweet fruit aromas—think tangerine, pear, lemon, peach and apricot.

The light alcohol level is very appealing in this juicy and delicious wine. Think of it as Asti Spumante without the bubbles.

Sugars and acids are the two big players in any glass of wine. In California’s abundant sunshine, the Riesling grape gives winemakers plenty of both to work with. Balance is the hallmark of any great wine, and this is a great wine.

The classic Riesling minerality rides along with fresh apple and citrus flavors.

Wine historians think the first “pink” Zin was made in California in 1869. Not an immediate hit. It caught on in the 1970s, and twenty years later, 10% of all wine sold in the U.S. was White Zinfandel.

This offering pays off well with pear, strawberry and a hint of pineapple on the palate. A little spritz on the tongue, and then it nails a nice, crisp finish.

You might call this “Merlot-Light” – all of the flavor with less alcohol (10 %). Nobody knows more about making California wine than Gallo does, and they show here what can be done with a good idea, good grapes and conscientious winemaking. They pull the juice off the skins when they have just the right blush color.

Close your eyes, and it’s all there: flavors of ripe plum, blueberry, even tangy hints of cranberry. Light-bodied, refreshing, balanced.

This one made us blush. Very attractive example of the style. Gallo winemakers use “cold” fermentation techniques to keep the fruit flavors up front and lively. Intriguing balance of sweetness and fresh acidity. Think of it as a refreshment that fits in anywhere. Think pink.
