    Top Secret Football Recipe Playbook

It's time to seize the day! No more mediocre "chip & dip" defense, below is a recipe play-by-play that will make you the undefeated game day snack champion this football season.

    Sideline Pizza Muffins

Part pizza....part muffin, these polar opposites come together to create a "taste bud harmony" that is complemented very well with our Rancho Zabaco Heritage Vines Zinfandel.

    3 cups baking mix

1/2 cup chopped Pepperoni or Grilled Chicken

    1 can condensed tomato soup

    3 tablespoons chopped ripe olives

    3/4 cup of water

    2 tablespoon dried minced onion

    2/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Stir ingredients into the baking mix in a large bowl. Place mixture into muffin pan, filling each approximately 3/4 full. Bake for 15-20 minutes in a 350 degree fahrenheit oven.  Once done, let cool for 5-10 minutes before removing from pans to wax paper or aluminum foil. Serve while still warm. This recipe should make approximately 14 muffins.

    Bacon Cheese Burger Touchdown Puffs

This one isn't for the faint of heart. This play is heavy, unconventional and needs a wine that play ball in the same stadium. We think the Dancing Bull Merlot 2007 is that wine, pair them up on the field and tell us what you think.

1/2 lbs. of ground beef 2 ounces of Bacon bits
1 3/4 cup of Baking MIx 7 tablespoons of buttermilk
2 cups of shredded Smoked Ghouda (or Cheddar)

Preheat a convection oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, in sturdy skillet, cook the ground beef completely through (with no pink remaining), be sure drain off excess grease before moving forward. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bacon bits and your shredded cheese. Slowly pour buttermilk into mixture making sure to continually mix so to evenly distribute moisture. Roll into balls that are 1 inch in diameter and spread on a cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!

    Cinnamon Interceptions

So there's 1 minute left in the 4th quarter, you're down by 7, the other team has possession and you're out of timeouts.....What do you do? This Cinnamon Interception will win it for the team when time is of the essence. With nuances of vanilla and oak, the Baker's Dozen Cabernet Sauvignon goes surprising well with this food fare.

    Texas size frozen rolls
(Each roll makes 4 bites, make as many as you'd like!)
    1 cup of Sugar
2 teaspoons of Cinnamon 1 stick melted butter

Cut a thawed roll into four equal sections. Transfer dough sections on a greased baking sheet. Make sure your bites destributed about 2 inches from each other on the baking sheet. Spray non-stick cooking spray onto plastic wrap and cover, let dough rise until double in size. (this will take approximately 30 minutes). Bring a large pot of water to a subtle boil (not a vigorous rolling boil). Once dough has doubled in size, toss bites into the water and jostle them around for about 1 minute. Take out promptly with a slotted spoon and place bites on a paper towel to dry briefly. Place bites on the greased baking sheet, bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes or until done and golden brown. Take out from oven, brush bites with melted butter and toss in a bowl that has a mixture of 2 teaspoons Cinnamon and 1 cup of Sugar. After bites are even coated with cinnamon and sugar, you're ready to dig in!
