Wine critics love this fun-loving line of wines, calling Barefoot “good and priced right…hard to beat.” We agree completely. The Barefoot sparkling wines are a relatively recent addition, but winemaker Jennifer Wall has been giving us great choices for nearly 20 years.

So, here in one bottle you have bubbles, a prestigious variety and a well-proven name. Go for it.

Well-priced, tasty varietal sparklers have been a big part of Barefoot’s success. This Extra Dry Chardonnay—which is actually a bit less dry than the Brut—is proof positive that you can turn any event into an affordable celebration. The 2008 San Francisco International Wine Competition gave this wine a very respectable Silver Medal, but we think it‘s pure gold.

Barefoot Moscato Spumante has fragrant fruit aromas and slightly sweet flavors which complement the crisp acidity. Apricot and peach enhance the lingering tangerine finish.

When the folks at Barefoot tell you to “get Barefoot and have fun,” this is the wine to start with. Who knew Pinot Grigio could make such a great sparkling wine? Barefoot winemaker Jennifer Wall knew. And, she’s offered it up at a great price. Not quite dry, lively fruit, real character.

Barefoot Bubbly Rose has bright & clean aromas & flavors. Light strawberry flavors complement the citrus, lemon finish.

Cabernet is called the “king” of the noble grape varieties of France. This bottle deserves a title, too, as a princely wine for a pauper’s price. The Wine Spectator had nice things to say about it, and we agree it’s a bargain.

You’ll get the classic Cabernet flavors of berries and clove, with a little oak and a velvet finish.

There’s a good reason why Chardonnay is everyone’s favorite white wine: flavor. Winemaker Jennifer Wall gets grapes from different parts of California to blend a wine that is balanced in flavor, body and mouthfeel.

Honey and vanilla lace through flavors of green apples and peaches. Creamy and delicious.

Barefoot Impression is a rich and elegant red wine blend with dark cherry and blackberry aromas and flavors which complement the lingering, velvety finish. Enjoy with barbeque, pizza, pasta and friends!

This is a wine you can explore for a second while it’s on your palate. Notice the balance in the tannins. We get dark berries and ripe cherries, warm mocha, white pepper and other spices typical of a great Zinfandel. If this isn’t the perfect barbecue wine, we’ll turn in our “Kiss the Chef” aprons.

Maybe the next popular wine movie will feature a couple of guys on a search for the perfect Merlot. If they start with this one, it’ll be a short movie. A round, luscious, satisfying wine.

Look for the hint of anise under boysenberry and milk chocolate flavors. You might even try putting a little chill on it to get an entertaining evolution in the glass.
